There are a couple of different treasure hunting and metal detecting magazines on the market today. I’ve gathered five of the biggest and most popular magazines in this post.
Lost Treasure
This is the first treasure hunting magazine I encountered and I think it’s great! The publishers describes the magazine as “The Treasure Hunter’s Guide to Adventure & Fortune”. Every magazine issue is packed with accounts of lost treasure and tips on how to become a better treasure hunter. You can buy both print and digital subscriptions to this treasure hunting magazine.
Treasure Cache / Treasure Facts
This is an annual double issue from the publisher of Lost Treasure magazine. Treasue Cache is filled with documented Treasure Caches and Treasure Facts is an how-to guide for Treasure hunters.
Western & Eastern Treasures
This metal detecting magazine describes itself as the “World’s Leading How To Magazine For Metal Detectorists Since 1966″. Here’s a couple of article headlines from their June 2010 Issue:

In their own words, American Digger Magazine is “a magazine dedicated to those who preserve our past through responsible digging and collecting. This monthly magazine is a favorite among UK metal detectorists and is packed with helpful information about metal detecting and treasure hunting.
You’ll find regular how-to articles and get the chance to see what other metal detectorists around the UK are finding in the field. Another regular feature of his magazine are reviews and field tests of treasure hunting equipment, Questions & Answers, Readers’ Letters, News & Views and much more.
